The Team of the Year will be awarded to a team of employees which has undertaken exceptional work within the public or private sector to improve/sustain the outputs or efforts of their organisation, over and above their general working activities.
The award will recognise innovative and professional achievement that has had considerable impact on the organisation such as cost savings, team building, efficiency or safety.
- What were the aims and objectives of the team and how were they approached?
- Give details on the performance of the team and end results of their work.
- Detail any innovative, pro-active and exceptional work carried out by the team over and above expectations.
- What is the impact and lasting effect the work carried out has had on the organisation and the highways industry as a whole?
A591 Reconnecting Cumbria – Area 13
Unprecedented severe inter weather swept away the A591, Keswick-Grasmere link. Government tasked Kier Highways to repair. Despite horrendous weather, Kier reopened the A591 three weeks early.
Kier overcame a number of challenges which were all effectively dealt with
